Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cancellation Policy explains how either party may cancel a Trenith engagement and what happens to fees and work in progress. It applies to clients in India and internationally and should be read with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. A signed statement of work (SOW) may set specific cancellation terms, which prevail over this page.
1. How to cancel
To cancel, email billing@trenith.com from the address on file with your engagement reference. Cancellation is effective when we acknowledge your request; we acknowledge within 48 hours.
2. Project engagements
You may cancel a project at any time. On cancellation, you are charged for services performed and costs committed up to the effective date; any prepaid amount beyond that is handled under our Refund Policy. Delivered or accepted milestones are non‑refundable.
3. Retainers, maintenance & subscriptions
Recurring plans may be cancelled with at least the notice stated in your SOW (typically 30 days). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; the current period is not pro‑rated unless required by law. You will not be billed for cycles after the effective cancellation date.
4. Cancellation by Trenith
We may cancel or suspend an engagement for non‑payment, material breach not cured within a reasonable notice period, unlawful or abusive use, or if continuing would be unsafe or illegal. Where we cancel without cause, we refund prepaid amounts for services not yet performed. Consistent with India’s Consumer Protection (E‑Commerce) Rules, we do not impose cancellation charges on consumers unless we would bear equivalent charges if we cancelled.
5. Work product on cancellation
Once all amounts due up to the effective date are settled, we hand over the deliverables completed and paid for, in line with the intellectual‑property terms in our Terms & Conditions. Access to in‑progress or unpaid work may be withheld until outstanding amounts are cleared.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits mandatory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India and consumer/distance‑selling rights in the EU/UK and other regions. Where such rights apply, they prevail over this Policy.
